Principle of Winding In Speed Frame

Principle of winding is depend upon their surface speed of revolution.

Winding can be done by two ways:
         1.       Flyer Leading
         2.       Bobbin Leading

1.Flyer Leading: in this operations ,the flyer wrap the roving upon the bobbin , in this the speed of the flyer is constant but always more than the bobbin

The bobbin starting at certain speed when it’s empty. It gradually increase rate of revolution as it’s get larger in diameter.

2.Bobbin Leading: In this operation , the bobbin wind it round itself and “ the bobbin speed is always more than flyer speed.
But the speed of the bobbin decrease as it’s gets increase in diameter.

Q. Why bobbin leading is better than flyer leading?
Ans. Because, in flyer leading the increase of speed necessary for the bobbin as it enlarges and gets heavier is putting more strain on the system.

In flyer leading second defect is,
The indirect driving of the bobbin by means of a strap on the cone drums the flyer is caused to start a little earlier than the bobbin, which produces a strain on the roving and results frequently breakage occur in roving.
Hence, bobbin leading is prefers for the winding.

Basic requirement in bobbin leading:

     · Bobbin speed is always greater than flyer, in order to wind on the roving.
     · As the bobbin increases in diameter, this excess speed must be decreases.
